Heimdall is a small smart device, easily attachable to the car and able to connect to most cars' HUD. Devices emit flashing light low down to the road that will not hinder drivers vision. Devices emit a loud tone when activated (above 23,000 hertz (the human limit) ). Using geo-data devices will only become active outside of towns and cities, so as to not disturb pets and residents. Geo data will also activate it and give a driver a warning on their centre console when entering an area particularly populated area.
- Two devices attached at both the front and back of the car, however will be packaged together
- Devices will be mandatory for new Volvo cars but available to be purchased and applied to existing cars. Cars with car-play connectivity will be able to interact with devices more, however it is not required for it to work
- Light will be omitted to cover diagonally from the front on both sides, along the side to diagonally along the back. This is to ensure safety for both the driver and others on the road
